The Tangerine Team-mates initiative, which was launched earlier this year to strengthen the bonds with youth sides in the area, sees first-teamers of Blackpool FC become affiliated to specific grassroots teams on the Fylde Coast.
Providing greater access to members of the squad, it offers the ideal opportunity for budding young footballers to engage with and learn from the Seasiders’ professionals.
The new draw allocating players to clubs, conducted by Head Coach Michael Appleton and striker Jerry Yates, is available to watch on Blackpool FC’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels from 5pm Tuesday 11 October.
Last season saw FC Rangers Paired with Blackpool Left-Backs James Husband and Dom Thompson who visited the club and conducted and online Q & A session in the short time we were paired. This proved to be great for the players of FC, and we are happy to welcome back the scheme again this season.
For the 2022-23 season FC Rangers has been draw Northern Ireland international Striker Shane Lavery (see below).
