Club Timeline
1970- F.C. Rangers J.F.C. began life as R.A.O.B. (Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes) Rangers based at the R.A.O.B. in Layton. It was formed by our Honorary Life President Malcolm Richardson along with Harry Stanley and his wife Mary.

1976- The first ever RAOB Rangers team won the Lancashire F.A Under 16 Trophy at Burscough despite having to play the whole season in the open age section as there was no Under 16 league for them to compete in that season.

1976- This season saw a name change for one season only to Poulton Rangers, a move which for various reasons didn’t work out, and the following year the name was changed to the current title of F.C. Rangers, the name being derived from the fact that British teams playing in Europe, no matter what their correct title, always had the letters F.C. before their name in the foreign press.
1977- The Club’s new name became FC Rangers JFC, which remains our current name.
1978- Our first official Badge was created under the FC Rangers name.

2010- FC Rangers JFC Celebrated its 40th year in style with a big party at the Norcalympia Room at Norbreck Castle. (See all pictures in the Gallery page).

2013- FC Rangers Under 13s team won the Hogan Cup under manager Steve Jackson.

2020- For the year of FC Rangers 50th anniversary unfortunately all football had ceased due to the UK being under lockdown restrictions during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
2021- Our Under 16’s Team became double champions winning the Blackpool & District Youth Football League and the Under 16’s Hogan Cup.
