Poulton Town 2-4 FC Rangers Venue: Poulton Civic Centre Our Scorers: Cal Hardingham, Jack Murphy, Stevie Liptrott, George Wharton
FC Rangers played a great game on a good pitch and deservedly reached the final. The first half saw them kicking up a slight incline and against the wind going 1 – 0 up. However, they let Poulton back in, making it 1 – 1 at half time. The game was on a knife edge.
In the second half, instead of playing the long ball, they changed their tactics, got it on the floor and played football. The team took there chances really well, which reflected in the final result, with the game ending 4-2 to the men in blue. The squad was missing three key players through holiday, Covid, etc so this victory was dedicated to ALL the squad and parents who have been magnificent throughout the season.
Man Of The Match: Jack Murphy
