This weekend is packed full of exciting league games and even the chance for one of our teams to bring home some silver wear in the Hogan Cup Final.
Super Saturday
This weeks Main Event is of course, that all important Under 16s Hogan Cup Final between FC Rangers and Poulton FC! This game is a showcase of two teams who are also battling it out for 1st place in the League, with FC Rangers holding a 3 point advantage.
Both FC Rangers and Poulton FC have had a great season but in the end there can only be one winner.
Under 16s manger Steve Jackson says, ” Our under 16’s continue their impressive form going in to the Hogan Cup Final. They have been excellent all season and although not being able to field a full squad some weeks, it really shows the team’s strength in depth. As of yet they have won nothing but are now in a great position to complete a League and Cup double. All they have to do is keep their heads, and keep playing the way they have been, and get some luck.”
The match will be held at Wyre Villa FC’s ground in Stalmine, kicking off at 3:45pm. The club wishes Steve and the team all the best of luck!
Onto our other fixtures, we have both of our under 8’s teams playing their league games at home. Under 8’s Blues play first at 10am against Poulton FC Blacks, with Under 8’s kicking off straight after on the same pitch at 11am. They face Foxhall Hoops!
Glenn will take our Under 9’s team away to Lytham Juniors Jaguars, kicking off at 10am at Parkview Playing Fields in Lytham.
Sunday Selection
Our Under 14’s play away in the League against Clifton Rangers at St. Mary’s School. That game kicks off at 11am.
Meanwhile, also at 11am Lewis’s Open Age team will hold the fort at Boundary Park when they take on Marshall Court in their League Clash.
Good luck to all our teams and lets show some support for the Under 16’s in their Cup Final match!
